Young Plants
Grown in individual large plug cells measuring up to 12cm (4.8in) in height, these plants are well-rooted and, where necessary, supplied with the central stem pinched to encourage strong, bushy growth. On arrival, simply pot them into 6 or 7cm pots, or, if you have space, plant directly into baskets and containers. Keep them somewhere warm and bright until established. A full growing guide is included to help you achieve the very best results. Plants will arrive ready for immediate potting on or planting, with heights ranging from 6–12cm from plug base to plant tip.

Returns
Should you have any problems with your product, please contact our Customer Services Team advising the nature of your concern before returning the product.
Osteospermum can be perennial, but it depends on the variety. Hardy types survive frost and return each year, while tender varieties are typically grown as annuals in the UK because of the climate. To protect tender types, overwinter them in a greenhouse or bring them indoors before the first frost.
Yes, slugs can and do eat Osteospermum leaves. They tend to target younger, more tender foliage–new growth. To prevent slugs from eating your Osteospermum, surround it with a barrier such as copper tape or crushed eggshells, or add nematode worms to your soil to prevent slug infestations before they begin.
To deadhead Osteospermum, simply pinch or cut off spent flowers at the base of the stem. Leave the leaves in place so that the plant can grow more stems.
