Product Details

Ammi visnaga, with its dense green and white domed blooms, adds an elegant touch to any garden or floral arrangement. Standing at around 100cm (40 in), this hardy annual creates a soft, lace-like effect with its finely cut foliage and profusion of blooms, offering a gentle contrast to bolder flowers.

The fragrance is mild but refreshing, blending seamlessly with other garden scents. Perfect for borders or as a filler in wildflower gardens, Ammi visnaga seeds bring height and texture, while its delicate flowers make it an excellent choice for cut arrangements.

It thrives in full sun, with well-drained soil, and is tolerant of dry conditions. This low-maintenance plant is ideal for those who want beauty with minimal effort. Pair Ammi visnaga with Geranium plants, for a soothing aroma; Sweet Pea seeds, for complementary colour; Dahlia plants, for texture contrast; or orange flowering bulbs, for added warmth. These plants work together to create a harmonious garden.

For cut flowers, harvest when the blooms are fully open. Place them in water immediately to maintain their freshness for up to a week.

FAQs

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique.

Yes: Ammi visnaga will freely self-seed if its flowerheads are left to mature and dry out. This natural process is how it reproduces in the wild. To encourage it to self-seed, simply leave its flowerheads in place as they die back; or, to prevent it from self-seeding (and to keep your garden tidy), deadhead it instead.

Sow Ammi visnaga seeds in early spring or autumn. For spring sowing, start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost or sow directly outdoors once the soil has warmed. Autumn-sown seeds germinate and establish for earlier flowers the following year.

Ammi visnaga can be planted after the risk of frost has passed in spring. Harden off seedlings for 7-10 days by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions before transplanting into well-drained soil in a sunny position.
