This colourful mix includes a blend of purples, lilacs, pinks, reds and white and will create a riot festival colour to the garden. Also known as the Poppy Anemone because of its bowl-shaped blooms, long stems and often black centres, they are really good for cutting. These sun-lovers are best in a sheltered, sun-drenched spot in a light, sandy well-drained soil (apply a horticultural grit if necessary). They may require cloching or good mulch, especially in their first winter.
