Coir Peat Free Multipurpose Growbags

Unlike compost, which can often become compacted over time, coir retains its airy structure, promoting better root development and preventing waterlogging. While compost can break down and lose its structure, coir remains durable and provides a longer-lasting growing medium. Coir also offers a peat-free growing medium, unlike many other types of compost mixes. 

Start by filling the bag with 3-4 litres of water to allow the coir to expand fully. Pierce the base of the bag for drainage. Remove a few inches of coir from the top of the mix, and place your tomato seeds on top of the remaining coir, before covering them with the removed mix. 

As the tomato seedlings grow, continue adding coir, before eventually moving them into individual pots with fresh coir when they have a few true leaves. Keep the coir moist but not waterlogged as the plants grow.
