A choice variety and much favoured for its uniquely coloured mahogany flowers which are streaked with golden yellow and orange markings.
Heleniums are very tough, vigorous and easy to grow. One of the mainstays of the late summer border, they will warm the garden when other perennials are beginning to fade. Plants bloom over a long period, generally from mid to late summer and through into autumn, and bees and butterflies love them!
Known commonly as Helen's Flower because they mythically first grew on ground watered with the tears of Helen of Troy.
The dazzling blooms are excellent for cutting. Grow in full sun in a well-drained soil. May require some support.
