Product Details
This heirloom variety is a real beauty with rich scarlet red blooms, dark stems and a plum sheen which gives the flowers a velvety appearance. The flowers are accompanied by a lovely fragrance.
Late Flowering Tulips
These classic cup-shaped forms on tall elegant stems are what we all envision of when we think of this favourite of all spring flowers. These simple yet stunning blooms are available in nearly every possible shade, but these are just a selection of our favourites. Including varieties which are classified as either single-late and triumph types, they are great for the middle of the border or in mixed container displays.
Plant your tulips between November and December at a depth of approximately 10-15cm/4-6in, approximately 20cm/8in apart, in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny position. Planting sooner can result in frost damage to the growing shoot. We recommend dead-heading once the blooms begin to fade and feeding with a fertiliser for a few weeks for stronger bulbs next season.
Top grade bulbs supplied.
