Allium hollandicum Purple Sensation Bulbs produce vibrant purple flower heads made up of tightly packed star-shaped florets. This ever-popular allium adds bold colour and architectural structure to late-spring borders and combines beautifully with perennials and other ornamental onions.
Supplied as a pack of 15 bulbs, plants reach around 80cm (32in) and flower from May to June. The flowers are attractive to pollinators and suitable for cutting. Plant from September to November in well-drained soil in full sun.
Bulb size: 12+
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 12+ bulb measures at least 12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
