Allium nigrum & Allium atropurpureum Bulbs combine two contrasting ornamental onions that flower together to striking effect. Supplied as 20 bulbs, the collection pairs the pale flower heads of Allium nigrum with the deep purple-crimson blooms of Allium atropurpureum, creating an elegant light-and-dark display through the middle of the border.
Plants reach around 75cm (30in) and flower in June. The flowers are attractive to pollinators and are excellent for cutting or drying. Plant from September to November in average, free-draining soil in full sun.
Bulb size: 10/12
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 10/12 bulb measures approximately 10-12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
