Allium nigrum Flower Bulbs produce elegant clusters of creamy-white flowers with striking dark green, almost black centres. Their bold contrast works beautifully alongside deeper purple alliums such as Atropurpureum or Purple Sensation and brings a lighter note to late-spring borders.
Supplied as a pack of 10 bulbs, plants reach approximately 50-70cm (20-28in) and flower from May to June. The sturdy stems are excellent for cutting and the flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies. Plant from September to November in well-drained soil in full sun.
Bulb size: 10/12
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 10/12 bulb measures approximately 10-12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
