Product Description
Allium sphaerocephalon Flower Bulbs
Allium sphaerocephalon Flower Bulbs are excellent border fillers, producing distinctive egg-shaped flower heads that open from the top downwards to reveal tiny dark-pink flowers. During opening, the blooms pass through an eye-catching two-tone phase before decorative seed heads continue the display.
Supplied as a pack of 50 bulbs, plants reach around 90cm (3ft) and flower from May to June. Their slender stems weave naturally through border planting, while the flowers are attractive to pollinators and suitable for cutting. Plant from September to November in free-draining soil in full sun.
Bulb size: 5/6
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 5/6 bulb measures approximately 5-6cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
