Delphinium Aurora Deep Purple Flower Plants create a striking display with tall spires of rich purple flowers, each bloom highlighted by a contrasting white ‘bee’. These stately plants bring classic cottage garden charm and bold vertical colour, making them an excellent choice for the back of sunny borders.

Part of the outstanding Aurora F1 series, these plants are naturally vigorous and free-flowering. Strong, sturdy stems carry beautifully branched spikes filled with large, dreamy semi-double blooms, producing a dramatic display that lasts through the summer. The flowers are also excellent for cutting, allowing you to bring their beauty indoors.

Easy to grow and naturally robust, these delphiniums usually require no staking. As first-year flowering perennials, they will reward you with impressive blooms in late summer during their first season. Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil for the most vibrant results.

Young Plants

Grown in individual large plug cells measuring up to 12cm (4.8in) in height, these plants are well-rooted and, where necessary, supplied with the central stem pinched to encourage strong, bushy growth. On arrival, simply pot them into 6 or 7cm pots, or, if you have space, plant directly into baskets and containers. Keep them somewhere warm and bright until established.
