Flea and Flea Beetle Control Nematodes (Nematode Steinernema) are microscopic worms that seek out lawn fleas and flea beetles, then feed and multiply inside them to stop these pests damaging your plants and lawn. Nematodes are naturally found in soil—by using this product you are simply topping up the natural population.

Adult flea beetles are 2–3mm long, black, blue, or green with a metallic sheen, and can jump off leaves when disturbed. Larvae found in lawns or topsoil are white with a brown head, approximately 2.5mm long. Fleas and flea beetles can damage your lawn and plants—flea beetles feed on leaves and stems while their larvae attack roots.

Damage: Small irregular holes in the upper leaves of brassicas and various ornamentals and lawns, surrounded by pale brown scar tissue. Fleas not only pester pets but can also bite humans and be carried indoors.

Nematode products are renowned biological controls, providing many benefits over traditional gardening chemicals and are a key ally for organic gardeners. All products are simple to apply, safe to use, and harmless to children, pets, birds, and wildlife.

Application Guidelines:

• Recommended minimum soil temperature: 12°C (54°F)
• Best applied March to late August (flea beetles) and March to October (lawn fleas)
• Can be used outside recommended dates and may still help control pests
• Soil or compost must be moist before application and kept moist for at least 2 weeks afterwards; avoid waterlogging
• Apply during evenings or dull conditions to avoid full sunlight

Storage and Handling:

• Store in refrigerator below 5°C (41°F) and use within the best before date stated; do not freeze
• Avoid exposing nematodes to freezing or high temperatures
• This is a live product with an expiry date of approximately 2 weeks (printed on packet); non-returnable
• Do not use chemical insecticides during nematode application
