Fritillaria imperialis Rubra Flower Bulbs produce dramatic whorls of rich orange, bell-shaped flowers beneath a distinctive crown of lush green foliage. Tall and statuesque, crown imperials make excellent statement plants for adding height and architectural structure to spring borders.
Supplied as a pack of 3 bulbs, plants reach around 90cm (36in) and flower from April to May. Plant from September to October in rich, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade, setting the bulbs deeply and taking care to avoid waterlogged conditions.
Bulb size: 20/24
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 20/24 bulb measures approximately 20-24cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
