Fritillaria meleagris Flower Bulbs
- Distinctive purple chequered bells bring natural character to spring planting
- Hardy 30cm plants are ideal for borders, grass and woodland-style areas
- Size 7/8 bulbs support reliable April and May flowering

Fritillaria meleagris Flower Bulbs produce wonderfully distinctive bell-shaped flowers suspended from delicate stems in varying shades of purple, with the characteristic chequered pattern that gives snakeshead fritillaries their unmistakable appearance. Their natural character makes them particularly effective in informal planting schemes.
Supplied as a pack of 15 bulbs, plants reach around 30cm (12in) and flower from April to May. Very hardy and trouble-free, they are well suited to borders, shrubberies and naturalising through grass or woodland-style areas. Plant from September to October in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
Bulb size: 7/8
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 7/8 bulb measures approximately 7-8cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
