Pollinator Friendly Bulb Collection

Pollinator Friendly Bulb Collection combines 113 bulbs and corms to bring a succession of beautiful colours and flower forms to the garden while providing blooms attractive to pollinators. Contrasting early crocuses lead into the classic blue of English bluebells, followed by vivid camassia and spectacular alliums in lilac, pink, cream and green tones, creating an evolving display from early spring into early summer.

Plant during autumn and use the different heights, colours and growing habits to create a layered display. Crocuses work beautifully in generous drifts through lawns, borders and rockeries, while English bluebells suit partially shaded areas beneath deciduous trees and shrubs. Camassia adds relaxed, meadow-like colour and the taller alliums bring height and architectural form to later spring borders.

  Huge spherical heads packed with lilac-purple flowers create a dramatic focal point on tall, sturdy stems from May to June and are attractive to pollinators as well as excellent for cutting.
• Allium Siculum Nectaroscordum Flower Bulbs – 20 bulbs
  Nodding clusters of bell-shaped flowers combine soft pink, cream and green shades before developing into distinctive upright seed heads, extending their visual appeal beyond flowering.
• Camassia Quamash Flower Bulbs – 20 bulbs
  Graceful spikes of vivid blue, star-shaped flowers rise above fresh foliage from May to June, creating generous sweeps of colour in informal borders and naturalised planting.
• Crocus Species Flower Bulb Mix – 50 mixed corms
  An abundance of contrasting early flowers brings welcome colour from as early as January, looking especially effective planted in generous groups while providing useful early forage for pollinators.
• English Bluebell Flower Bulbs – 20 bulbs
  Graceful stems of nodding true-blue bells above glossy green foliage create the unmistakable character of a traditional British woodland display from April to May.
