Snakeshead Fritillary Bulb Collection

Snakeshead Fritillary Bulb Collection combines two distinctive forms of this much-loved spring flower, with delicate nodding bells suspended from slender stems. Supplied as 30 bulbs, with 15 of each variety, they create a wonderfully natural display in borders, grass and woodland-style planting.

• Fritillaria meleagris – Distinctive bell-shaped flowers in various shades of purple, beautifully patterned with the characteristic chequered markings of the snakeshead fritillary.
• Fritillaria meleagris 'Alba' – The elegant white form, producing shining pure-white bells that provide a lovely contrast alongside the purple variety.

Plants reach around 30cm (12in) and flower from April to May. Very hardy and trouble-free, they prefer moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Plant from September to October.

Bulb size: 7/8
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 7/8 bulb measures approximately 7-8cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
