Tulip Black Hero Flower Bulbs produce large, double ruffled flowers in exceptionally deep maroon tones, with subtle green flecks on the outer petals. Their dark colouring creates dramatic contrast alongside paler tulips and other spring flowers.
Supplied as a pack of 15 bulbs, plants reach around 50cm and flower from April to May. Their substantial blooms are ideal for borders, patio containers and seasonal cutting. Plant from October to December in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
Bulb size: 12+
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 12+ bulb measures at least 12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
