Tulip Chato Flower Bulbs produce large, opulent deep-pink double blooms with layers of petals that give each flower the appearance of a peony. This compact variety provides rich colour early in the tulip season and makes a particularly eye-catching display planted in groups.
Supplied as a pack of 15 bulbs, plants reach around 30cm (12in) and flower from April to May. Their compact stems suit borders and patio containers, while the full flowers are also attractive for cutting. Plant from October to December in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
Bulb size: 12+
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 12+ bulb measures at least 12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
