Tulip Red Purissima produces striking cherry-red flowers with a small wash of yellow towards the base of the petals. The vivid colouring makes a strong spring statement and combines especially well with contrasting narcissus and other early bulbs.
Supplied as a pack of 15 bulbs, plants reach around 40cm and flower from April to May. Their compact upright habit suits beds, borders, raised beds and patio containers. Plant from October to December in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
Bulb size: 12+
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 12+ bulb measures at least 12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
