Allium Border Flower Bulb Mix has been selected to bring colour, form and elegance to the garden with five varieties: Schubertii, Summer Drummer, Ostara, Purple Sensation and Nigrum. Supplied as either 50 mixed bulbs or 100 mixed bulbs, the collection creates a harmonious display of mauves, purples and whites from mid-May through to June.
Renowned for their distinctive spherical blooms, alliums are ideal for adding eye-catching colour and architectural structure to borders, containers and cut-flower gardens. Growing to approximately 50-90cm (20-36in), the different heights create useful layers and contrast through the planting.
These hardy perennials thrive in a sunny position with well-drained soil and require very little maintenance once established. Their flowers attract bees and butterflies and can be cut for fresh arrangements or dried for decorative displays after flowering.
